ECHL Player Strike Ends with Tentative Agreement
The ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players Association (PHPA) have reached a tentative deal on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement, effectively ending a player strike that led to the postponement of multiple games across the league. Teams including the Iowa Heartlanders, Cincinnati Cyclones, and Utah Grizzlies are set to resume their seasons following the agreement. The strike, initiated due to contract disputes, caused significant disruptions, including the cancellation of several games and fan disappointment. With the new agreement in place, teams are expected to return to the ice soon.
