A remarkable study has revealed that moss can endure the harsh conditions of space, successfully surviving for nine months outside the International Space Station (ISS). Scientists placed moss on the exterior of the ISS, and after 283 days in the vacuum and extreme temperatures of space, the moss not only survived but also managed to reproduce once back on Earth.
