North Korean Soldiers Reportedly Fighting for Russia in Ukraine
Recent reports indicate that North Korea is sending thousands of soldiers to support the Russian military in its ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Ukrainian President Zelensky has expressed concern, stating that North Korean troops are being deployed alongside Russian forces, with some reports suggesting that as many as 10,000 North Korean soldiers have been sent to the front lines. Moreover, Zelensky has accused North Korea of providing not only manpower but also weapons to assist Russia in the war. While the Kremlin denies the presence of North Korean personnel in Ukraine, sources claim that a battalion formed by North Korea has already seen 18 soldiers desert. In addition, deductions from South Korean defense officials suggest that North Korean troops are highly likely to be involved in the conflict, and some have reportedly been killed in action. The international community continues to monitor these developments closely amid rising tensions in the region.
