The Pentagon has confirmed that Nidal Malik Hasan, who was convicted for the 2009 Fort Hood shooting that left 13 dead and numerous others injured, is set to be executed by firing squad on December 3. This will mark the first military execution by firing squad since World War II. Pete Hegseth has declared that the execution will be a public event, allowing viewers to witness the proceedings. The Army has set the date and location for the execution at Fort Hood, and it will be livestreamed, providing a broader audience access to this historic event. There are discussions regarding the implications of this decision, including the potential reactions from extremist factions.
