Yemen remains engulfed in a devastating conflict that threatens to spiral into a wider civil war, with recent military advances by government troops aimed at regaining strategic territories. As the armed forces push forward, the Council of Ministers has praised their efforts to restore state institutions amidst ongoing clashes. Yemeni officials emphasize the need for firm international action against the Houthi forces, which they argue are acting as proxies for Iranian interests. Analysts suggest that the fight against the Houthis is not only about restoring the state but also about preventing broader regional destabilization. Diplomatic efforts have faced setbacks due to recent escalations, as rival factions prepare for renewed clashes over vital resources.
