Japan, the UK, and Italy have announced plans to expedite the development of a next-generation fighter jet aimed at replacing the F-2s and Eurofighter Typhoons. At a recent Tokyo air expo, officials highlighted the importance of this collaboration in enhancing defense capabilities. The initiative is part of the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), which received a positive update and is nearing ratification by partner nations.
