Israel Dismantles Hezbollah Leadership with Targeted Strikes
Israel has confirmed the killing of Hashem Safieddine, who was presumed to be the next leader of Hezbollah, following an airstrike in Beirut. The Israeli military, known as the IDF, stated that it has also eliminated three commanders from Hezbollah and around 70 fighters in recent operations. This significant blow to the Iranian-backed group comes as Israel asserts it will continue to target its enemies, with IDF officials indicating that Hezbollah has already lost a substantial portion of its firepower. The killing of Safieddine marks a critical shift in the leadership dynamics of Hezbollah, which has faced intensified pressure from Israeli forces.
