U.S. Women Embrace the 4B Movement Post-Trump Victory
Following the recent election victory of Donald Trump, a rising feminist movement inspired by South Korea’s 4B movement is gaining traction among women in the United States. The 4B movement advocates for swearing off relationships with men—specifically promoting no sex, no dating, no marriage, and no children. Many women are expressing their frustration through social media and protests, motivated by a desire to prioritize their bodily autonomy and to take a stand against perceived patriarchal norms. Some participants are actively sharing their experiences and reasons for joining the movement, with pledges to boycott men, especially those who voted for Trump. This trend is viewed by some as a form of revenge against a political landscape they find disheartening, as women seek to decenter men in their lives.
