Microsoft has announced a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing the web through artificial intelligence. The tech giant plans to allow every website to utilize AI search capabilities affordably, introducing NLWeb, an open-source tool designed to create AI applications easily. Edge received significant updates, including new APIs that enable developers to incorporate AI chatbots and power AI web apps effectively. Notably, Microsoft Edge will now feature the ability to translate entire PDFs and has introduced on-device AI access, giving it a competitive edge over other browsers. Microsoft CTO Kevin Scott emphasized that these innovations are intended to empower developers and organizations to create more AI-friendly web experiences.
