A power pole fire has led to significant closures along Highway 26 in Washington County, particularly affecting the areas near the Oregon Zoo and the segment between Sylvan and Highway 217. Motorists faced considerable delays as the highway was closed in both directions, with backups reported for miles. Authorities have issued warnings about the electrical hazards prompting these traffic disruptions. However, after a brief shutdown due to the incident, Highway 26 has since reopened, allowing traffic to resume.
