In a stunning display of dominance, the New York Yankees crushed the Boston Red Sox 9-0 in Game 1 of the Wild Card Series. Cam Schlittler led the charge with a remarkable pitching performance, striking out 10 batters and showcasing his prowess on the mound. Meanwhile, Ben Rice shone brightly at the plate, hitting two home runs. The Yankees, playing without their MVP Aaron Judge, managed to triumph effortlessly, leaving the Red Sox unprepared and on the brink of elimination. This game marks a significant statement by the Yankees, particularly from their Massachusetts natives Schlittler and Rice, who tormented their hometown team. With the loss, the Red Sox face a do-or-die situation in Game 2 of the series.
