Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been actively campaigning for Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, making a significant impact by transferring $1 million from her reelection fund to support his campaign. This collaboration aims to energize and mobilize voters in northern Michigan, particularly in areas that have traditionally supported Republican candidates. Both Ocasio-Cortez and El-Sayed have been holding town halls and rallies, pushing for progressive policies and emphasizing healthcare and economic issues. Their united front highlights a strategic effort within the Democratic Party as they work to expand their influence in Trump-leaning regions and aim for a potential 2028 political landscape.
