The Northrop Grumman Cygnus XL cargo spacecraft has successfully arrived at the International Space Station (ISS) after facing several delays due to engine issues. Originally scheduled to reach the ISS earlier, the spacecraft encountered thruster problems that postponed its arrival by a day. Despite these challenges, the Cygnus XL was able to dock with the ISS and deliver vital supplies, including scientific equipment and unique holiday provisions, marking its inaugural mission. NASA and Northrop Grumman worked together to resolve the propulsion issues, ensuring the successful completion of this resupply mission.
