Global Leaders to Discuss Gaza Peace at Summit in Egypt
A significant international summit on the Gaza conflict is set to take place in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, co-chaired by former U.S. President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. The summit will gather leaders from 27 countries, including notable figures such as UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Indian Minister Kirti Vardhan Singh, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is also expected to attend. Discussions will focus on a peace plan and reconstruction efforts for Gaza amid ongoing regional tensions. Despite the presence of global leaders, neither Israel nor Iran has been invited to the discussions. As relief efforts in Gaza intensify, Egypt has called for the deployment of international forces to support peacekeeping initiatives in the region.
