In response to the abduction of four Salvadoran soldiers by Haitian gangs, President Nayib Bukele has ordered the deployment of special forces to Haiti. The move follows a harrowing ambush that resulted in the kidnapping, prompting Bukele to declare a military operation dedicated to the safe retrieval of the hostages. In his stern warning to the gangs involved, Bukele emphasized that they should expect a decisive response if the soldiers are not returned. The situation escalates as gangs in Haiti intensify their attacks on foreign troops, marking a significant surge in violence since the new military deployment began operations.
