Fighting in Yemen has reached a new peak, particularly around the strategic city of Taiz, where both government and Houthi forces are engaged in intense clashes. Reports indicate that at least 80 combatants have been killed in the last 24 hours as the Houthis push forward, attempting to expand their control. Yemeni government forces have actively responded with airstrikes, claiming to have conducted around 20 operations targeting Houthi positions. The situation is further complicated by ongoing Saudi airstrikes against Houthi-controlled areas, with reports of significant casualties, including civilians in Taiz. As both sides intensify their military efforts, concerns are rising over the potential for an all-out war that could further destabilize the region.
