At CES 2026, Hyundai Motor Group unveiled its ambitious plans to dominate the AI robotics industry by introducing humanoid robots for factory work. Alongside Boston Dynamics, they showcased the advanced humanoid robot Atlas, designed for efficiency on assembly lines. Hyundai aims to produce 30,000 humanoid robots annually by 2028, positioning itself as a competitor to Tesla and others in the rapidly enlarging robotics market. The new AI-powered Atlas robot, which made its public debut at the event, is set to revolutionize labor automation and may soon be working alongside human workers in Georgia. Additionally, Hyundai received the Best of Innovation Award in Robotics for its MobED Droid, marking a significant recognition of its innovative efforts in human-centered AI robotics.
