Annual Report Reveals Dire State of Global Air Quality

The latest IQAir World Air Quality Report has unveiled alarming findings about air pollution worldwide. It reveals that 13 of the 20 most polluted cities are located in India, with PM2.5 levels exceeding WHO norms by over 10 times in 35% of these cities. Pakistan ranks third among the most polluted countries, as the nation grapples with a severe smog crisis. The report highlights a stark reality: only seven countries met WHO air quality standards, leaving the majority of the global population breathing dirty air. In fact, fewer than one in five cities worldwide have clean air, indicating a pervasive air quality crisis affecting countless communities.
