In a significant operation coinciding with the Super Bowl, authorities in the Bay Area conducted extensive anti-human trafficking efforts that resulted in the arrests of nearly 30 suspected traffickers and the rescue of 73 victims, including 10 minors. The enforcement actions were part of a coordinated effort by local task forces, particularly in Santa Clara County, which reported the highest number of rescues. Following the successes of these operations, law enforcement in Northern California is now preparing for similar challenges as they anticipate heightened trafficking activities during the upcoming World Cup.
