Crackdown on Prostitution Rings in Queens as Community Outrage Grows
The NYPD has intensified its efforts to combat illegal prostitution in Queens, conducting multiple raids on establishments suspected of operating as brothels. Recently, police raided a brothel disguised as a massage parlor in Corona, arresting a man caught in the act. This follows a similar crackdown in Elmhurst, where a brothel operating near schools has sparked outrage among local parents. Many residents are concerned about the safety of children attending schools close to these illegal operations, especially one located across from two elementary schools, dubbed the 'Market of Sweethearts.' Despite these efforts, reports indicate that alleged sex workers and clients continue to frequent these establishments, with some spotted leaving a brothel just 24 hours after a police raid.
