The recent eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau in Indonesia has stranded approximately 340,000 travelers, with several airports remaining closed. Initially affecting hundreds of flights, the crisis forced airports, including Jakarta, to halt operations for two days. Although some flights have since resumed, travelers continue to face disruptions and travel chaos as volcanic ash lingers in the atmosphere. Authorities have reported that the volcanic activity remains high, despite a decrease in seismic activity. Additional relief flights have been scheduled by airlines to assist affected customers.
