The Thai capital, Bangkok, has officially been declared a disaster zone as heavy rainfall has resulted in widespread flooding across all 50 districts. The torrential rains, which have lasted over 48 hours, have caused severe disruptions, including traffic chaos and the evacuation of thousands of residents from their homes. Authorities have reported that more than 30cm of rain has fallen, causing canals to overflow and roads to become submerged. With travel disruptions expected throughout the city and ongoing weather alerts, officials are coordinating a unified response to manage the crisis.
