Former President Trump has announced a major renovation plan for the East Potomac Golf Course in Washington, D.C., stating that construction will begin despite ongoing legal battles and a court order temporarily halting tree removal. Critics, including local residents and a federal judge, have expressed outrage over the plan, highlighting the environmental impact as hundreds of trees have already been cleared. The renovation is set to close the historic course for 15 months, as Trump seeks to transform it into a high-end facility. Legal proceedings continue, with the Department of Justice moving to remove a judge overseeing the case, intensifying the conflict surrounding this controversial project.
