Severe Weather Causes Chaos for Delta Passengers Stuck Overnight on Tarmac in Alabama
Hundreds of Delta passengers faced an exhausting ordeal as flights from Mexico bound for Atlanta and Boston were diverted to Montgomery Regional Airport in Alabama due to severe weather. With no customs staff available, nearly 300 passengers found themselves stranded on the tarmac for hours, some forced to spend the night on planes with only cookies and water to sustain them. Many experienced extreme delays, getting to their destinations up to 15 hours late. Delta Airlines has since issued an apology and offered refunds to affected travelers as frustrated passengers shared their experiences of being trapped on board with little assistance.
