A federal investigation into Representative Ilhan Omar has intensified, with federal agents recently seizing her phone and subpoenaing family members as part of an immigration status probe. The Justice Department is limiting access to her records in what has become a sprawling investigation into potential immigration fraud. Concerns are mounting regarding the implications of the investigation, especially with critical comments from various political figures, including former President Trump, who has questioned her citizenship. Amidst this turmoil, Omar has denounced the search of her home as political intimidation and vowed not to be silenced. The raid has drawn warnings and criticism from political allies and opponents alike, fueling fears of further political ramifications ahead of the upcoming midterms.
