The US health agency has unveiled the 2025 quality ratings for Medicare plans, revealing a slight decline in overall star ratings for Medicare Advantage. Notably, only seven plans achieved the coveted 5-star rating, a significant drop from 38 last year. Companies like Humana, UnitedHealthcare, and Aetna saw a decline in their ratings, while Clover Health stood out with a commendable 4-star CMS rating, indicating potential for growth. Aetna noted that 88% of its Medicare Advantage members are in 4-star or higher plans, showcasing its strong performance in the ratings.
