Major Salmonella Recalls Impacting Eggs and Cucumbers at Costco and Other Retailers
Recent investigations into a Salmonella outbreak have led to significant recalls of fresh produce and eggs. Costco is recalling approximately 10,800 units of its Kirkland Signature pasture-raised organic eggs due to Salmonella concerns. Additionally, cucumbers linked to the outbreak have prompted nationwide recalls affecting at least 26 states and Canada. The CDC and FDA are currently investigating the outbreak, which has reportedly sickened at least 68 individuals across multiple states. Consumers are being advised to discard affected products, particularly cucumbers sold in major retailers, including Costco and Walmart, as health officials track the source of the contamination.
