Nicholas Rossi, a convicted rapist who gained notoriety for faking his own death and fleeing to Scotland to avoid prosecution, has died in a US hospital. Rossi, also known as Nicholas Alahverdian, faced multiple rape charges and attempted to evade capture for years. After being located in Scotland and extradited back to the US, he was convicted on two counts of rape. Reports indicate that he died due to an existing medical condition while in custody, just months after his convictions.
