Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed the killing of multiple senior Hamas leaders, including Rawhi Mushtaha, the de facto head of the Hamas government in Gaza, as well as two other top officials, during airstrikes conducted three months ago. The military stated that these strikes targeted key figures involved in orchestrating attacks against Israel. Mushtaha was known as a close confidant to Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind behind the October 7 attacks. The IDF also reported successful strikes on Hamas infrastructure in southern Syria, further intensifying ongoing conflicts in the region. Amid rising tensions, Israel has accused Hezbollah of smuggling Iranian weapons through its border with Syria.
