White House and Trump Administration Seek Billions for Iran War and Aid
The White House has sent Congress a supplemental budget request of $87.6 billion, primarily aimed at covering costs associated with the ongoing Iran war, as well as providing assistance to U.S. farmers and responding to the Ebola crisis. President Trump has consistently requested similar amounts, with figures close to $88 billion mentioned in several reports. Despite the Pentagon estimating the costs of the Iran war to be around $29 billion, many sources indicate that the actual expenditures are likely closer to $200 billion and still accumulating. As negotiations continue, Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth are urging Congress to expedite funding amidst rising costs and urgent operational needs.
