Thanksgiving Travel Expected to Hit Record Levels
This Thanksgiving, nearly 80 million Americans are projected to travel, marking one of the busiest travel seasons in recent years. AAA reports that roadways and airports will be heavily congested, with significant delays expected. Many travelers are bracing for the heavy traffic, especially in cities where traffic is likely to double during the holiday week. With nearly 2.6 million residents from Michigan alone planning to travel and Florida also expecting record numbers, preparations are underway for the anticipated rush. Travelers are advised to plan ahead, as extreme weather could complicate travel plans. Notably, gas prices are at their lowest in four years, which may encourage more people to hit the road despite the crowded conditions.
